Venue:    Heffron Park, Cnr Jersey Road and Bunnerong Rd, Maroubra


Southern zone pre-trials – including Cronulla, Botany Bay, Eastern Suburbs, Engadine, Georges River and Sutherland.

Time:    12:30pm to approx. 3:30pm – Southern zone pre-trials
Venue:    Heffron Park, Cnr Jersey Road and Bunnerong Rd, Maroubra

Cost:    Nil cost

All students who are attending the SE trials must have the approval of their School Principal.

Entry:        Open age – individual entry. NB: As per NSWPSSA rules and ARU safety guidelines, 10 year old students are NOT permitted to participate in these trials.

Sports organisers are requested to advertise these trials to all students even if the school is not a "traditional" rugby school.

Boys are asked to bring their own boots, jersey, mouthguard, shorts, food and drinks for the day. NB: Students are required to complete the attached ‘Appendix D’ permission note safety guidelines document rugby league/rugby union. NB: Mouthguards are mandatory.

 

Additional information:         Students selected in the SE team will compete at the NSWPSSA championships from Tuesday 23 August – Thursday 25 August 2022 in Mudgee.

·       Experience in playing rugby union is an advantage, but not essential. However, it is expected that the trialists will be experienced in league or union and play at a high standard.

·       The pre-trials are a prerequisite for attending the final trial to be held at Heffron Park, Cnr Jersey Road and Bunnerong Rd, Maroubra on Thursday 16 June 2022.

·       Players already selected in the SE PSSA 11’s or open rugby league teams are welcome to attend this trial.
